CATATAN:	\n \n Keputusan Presiden (KEPPRES) ini mulai berlaku pada tanggal 01 Oktober 1961. \n \n

Achmad Zakaria dari Surabaya, karena usia lanjut, tidak bersedia dicalonkan kembali sebagai Anggota Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat Sementara (M.P.R.S.) untuk Golongan Karya Alim Ulama (Islam). WE, THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA

Considering :

that H. Achmad Zakaria (Surabaja), due to his age, has advanced and is unwilling to be nominated as a Member of the Provisional People's Consultative Assembly for the Functional Group of Islamic Scholars (Islam);
that in connection with the aforementioned circumstances, it is necessary to appoint a replacement;
that Sdr. Noor Sutan Iskandar is deemed to meet the requirements as a replacement for H. Achmad Zakaria to be appointed as a Member of the Provisional People's Consultative Assembly for the Functional Group of Islamic Scholars (Islam).
