Latar Belakang dan Tujuan: Keputusan Presiden ini mengesahkan Convention on Early Notification of a Nuclear Accident yang ditandatangani oleh Delegasi Republik Indonesia pada Sidang Umum ke-30 Badan Tenaga Atom Internasional di Wina, Austria. Tujuan dari pengesahan ini adalah untuk mencegah dan menanggulangi kecelakaan nuklir secara dini, memperkecil dampak yang ditimbulkan, serta memperkuat kerja sama internasional dalam pengembangan dan penggunaan teknologi nuklir secara aman.

Ketentuan Substansial: Keputusan ini mengesahkan konvensi dengan persyaratan terhadap Pasal 11 yang mengatur penyelesaian sengketa atas penafsiran atau penerapan konvensi tersebut. Keputusan ini juga memerintahkan pengundangan dengan penempatannya dalam Lembaran Negara Republik Indonesia.

CONCERNING
RATIFICATION OF THE CONVENTION ON EARLY NOTIFICATION OF A NUCLEAR ACCIDENT

PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,

Considering:

that in Vienna, Austria, on September 26, 1986, the Delegation of the Republic of Indonesia signed the Convention on Early Notification of a Nuclear Accident as a result of the 30th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency), which regulates the early notification of a nuclear accident;
that the Convention is important to prevent and mitigate nuclear accidents early, minimize the consequences, and strengthen international cooperation in the development and use of nuclear technology safely;
