Keputusan Presiden ini bertujuan untuk mengesahkan Protokol Tambahan Keenam pada Konstitusi Perhimpunan Pos Sedunia yang telah ditandatangani oleh Pemerintah Republik Indonesia di Beijing, Cina, pada tanggal 15 September 1999. Pengesahan ini dilakukan sebagai bagian dari hasil Kongres Perhimpunan Pos Sedunia. Keputusan ini didasarkan pada Pasal 4 ayat (1) dan Pasal 11 Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 serta Amanat Presiden Republik Indonesia kepada Ketua Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Nomor 2826/HK/1960. Protokol ini menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari Keputusan Presiden ini, dan apabila terjadi perbedaan penafsiran antara naskah terjemahan dalam bahasa Indonesia dengan naskah asli dalam bahasa Inggris, maka yang berlaku adalah naskah asli dalam bahasa Inggris.

OF THE UNIVERSAL POSTAL UNION (SIXTH ADDITIONAL PROTOCOL
TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNIVERSAL POSTAL UNION)

PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,

Considering:

that in Beijing, China, on September 15, 1999, the Government
of the Republic of Indonesia has signed the Sixth Additional Protocol to the
Constitution of the Universal Postal Union (Sixth Additional Protocol
to the Constitution of the Universal Postal Union), as a result of the Congress of
the Universal Postal Union;
that in connection with that, and in accordance with the Mandate of the President of the Republic
of Indonesia to the Chairman of the House of Representatives Number 2826/HK/1960
